期刊于1947年作为《工业公报》的补充，1970年作为《技术补充》，1970年作为独立出版物出版。化学工业是国内外作者在化学工程、化学技术和化学领域发表的论文。该杂志由塞尔维亚化学工程师协会（欧洲化学工程联合会成员）每两个月出版一期。除了对工业有重要意义的专业文章外，科学研究论文不仅来自我国，而且来自世界各地。还包括商业新闻、科技新闻、新仪器设备信息、环境保护文章等主题。还出版了《塑料与橡胶杂志》的专刊。
Journal started in 1947 as a supplement of Industrial Bulletin, up to 1970 as supplement of Technique and from 1970 as an independent publication.Hemijska industrija (Chemical Industry) is publishing papers in the field of chemical engineering, chemical technologies and chemistry by authors from the country and abroad. The journal is published bimonthly by the Association of Chemical Engineers of Serbia (a member of EFCE - European Federation of Chemical Engineering). In addition to professional articles of importance to industry, scientific research papers are published, not only from our country but from all over the world. It also contains topics such as business news, science and technology news, information on new apparatus and equipment, and articles on environmental protection. A special issue of the Journal of Plastic and Rubber is also published.
